Dubai: This week sees the world of golf having another strong, high profile weekend following all the celebrations and drama at The 150th Open at St Andrews, Scotland.

The focus this week turns to ladies and seniors golf with The Amundi Evian Championship in France, with a prize fund of $6.5 million and The Senior Open Championship presented by Rolex at Gleneagles, Scotland, playing for $2.5 million with play over the historical King’s Course. The latter is Europe’s senior men’s major, where the Champions Tour co-sanctions with the Legends Tour.

The Amundi Evian Championship is one of the five golf majors in women’s golf and the only golf major to be held on the European continent, in either the men’s and women’s game.

The winner this week will take home $1 million. This is the largest prize fund on the 2022 LET calendar, apart from the AIG Open, to be held at Muirfield in a couple of week’s time that boasts a prizefund of $6.8 million.
